We are a group set up by the owner of McNabs Bookshop and several others in 2022 to encourage and support authors in the joy of writing and being together supporting each other without taking it too seriously.
The group is entirely member lead. We are and appreciate that each writer is best placed to decide what they want regarding their writing and what they need from the group.
Our rules are short and sweet – be kind, be respectful, and the Vegas Rule (What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas) around our writing that no work/ideas are shared without the writers permission.
The meetings can include the reading of works, critical feedback dialogue, visiting authors, tutorials, workshops, writing projects etc. but importantly what we do at each meeting is decided by the members. No idea or suggestion will be ignored.
There are social events in addition to the writing group – evenings such as soirees, film nights, ghost stories etc.
