Has always been interested in creative writing. When the group decided to produce a volume of work, Emma had a collection of poems to dust off. Other than Tinnitus, which was written following a car accident in 2021, the poems included are a selection written between 1987-2019. Her work certainly commemorates significant life events but more often she is inspired by the simple beauty of observing the everyday and all the intricacies and absurdities associated.
Emma, originally from Middlesbrough moved to London in the late eighties but returned to the North and moved to Teesdale in 1998. Emma owns McNabs Books, in Barnard Castle.
