Martyn was born in Berkshire in 1966 into a hyper religious protestant family who could trace their roots back to the pilgrim fathers and beyond. He left the restricted life within the church in his mid 20’s.
He trained as a Geophysicist, eventually spending most of his career in Marketing and latterly as a support worker within the drug and alcohol recovery sector.
Martyn has had a lifelong fight with mental illness, addiction and homelessness in part caused by his childhood and subsequent upsets, however he has beaten the odds and has created a peaceful and fulfilling life in the Northeast with his partner of 20+ years and their two cats.
